Delta has grown into a dangerous hurricane. It is expected to hit the Gulf coast. It is not a danger to Surfside at this time.
We have two storms to look at. One, Gamma is headed toward Mexico and seems not to be a threat. The other, Delta is more of a concern.
Tropical Storm Delta as you can see in the graphic is expected to turn into a hurricane and make its way up to the Gulf coast. Right now Surfside is well out of the cone, however we will monitor its progress.
Crickets! Let's hope it stays this way!
No more advisories until there is a potential threat. Enjoy the beautiful Surfside weather!
I don't want to jinx it, but all the storm traffic in the Atlantic of the last many days - has disappeared! Let's keep our fingers crossed!
Fall is here and the Atlantic is quiet. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this pattern continues!
The traffic in the Atlantic has thinned considerably. Surfside is experiencing the effects of a disturbance that, according to the Hurricane Center, has less than a 40% chance (today) of turning into anything worse.
Again, lots of traffic in the Atlantic, but no imminent threats to Surfside. Having said that, please stay tuned in to storm updates.
Still lots of traffic in the Atlantic, but no danger to Surfside. #22 is going to the Texas area. See the box to the right for hurricane Teddy's track.
Teddy is a major hurricane that thankfully is far away from Surfside and is not headed our way.
Still, there's still lots of traffic in the Atlantic, but currently, none of the storms / hurricanes pose an immediate threat to Surfside.
We'll keep an eye on things, including the new orange X generally heading our way and keep you posted!
Currently as you can see, there's still lots of traffic in the Atlantic. Also currently, none of the storms / hurricanes pose an immediate threat to Surfside.
We'll keep an eye on things and keep you posted!
Generally, Surfside looks safe at this moment, however let's keep an eye on Twenty, in the case it takes an unexpected turn.
A tropical wave is traversing across the south end of the State from east to the northwest. Surfside is not in the cone or expected to be affected, except for rainy and windy weather. The other storms are not a factor at this time however, please stay vigilant, as while the storms out in the Atlantic aren't threatening yet, that could change in a matter of days.
Please stay vigilant, as the storms out in the Atlantic aren't threatening yet, but that could change in a matter of days.
Please stay vigilant, as the storms out in the Atlantic aren't threatening now, but that could change in a matter of days.
Currently, not a danger to Surfside given the projected path.
